Question

Apple IPhone & Home Security System

by Disiple / October 17, 2014 4:49 AM PDT

I think this is an older Apple IPhone with AT&T, can't find the model number, tried looking through the phone's menu, couldn't find any information..
Have EverFocus ECOR264D-2 home security system and it says you can connect the DVR and IP camera from your smart phone, don't know if an APP available to set the phone up to do that or not? I think the App is called MobileFocus, need to know how to do this so can view video streams and control the cameras through the phone.
I'd appreciate any help.
Thank you.

Answer
There appear to be 10 iPhones.

Look at http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3939 to nail it down.

But I find it rarely matters when it comes to DVR apps. The usual issue is setup which may require sometimes costly support.

Thank you for your reply, think the phone may be 2007 or 2008, it is 3G, I think.
Could you elaborate on the set-up, as I thought it was an App, where does the costly support come in?
Sorry, but not familiar with how these things work. The security system is all installed, just a matter of how to set-up the phone to monitor away from home.

The person that installed it is next.

While I've written code for a few DVRs the awful truth is that not one was the same as the next. You need the person that set it up to finish the job.

Thank you,
I guess what confused me is on the EverFocus site, for the "Mobile Focus", they said you could get an APP from either ITunes or Google, so it made it seem as if you could download it onto your phone and that it was do-able, but as I've stated, it's all new to me.

Small world.

I was with an ODM that used that product. However I have not setup the iPhone yet. Anyhow, many of these require you to know basic networking. If you don't have that skill, have it setup by those that sold/installed this one.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
