Forget any Apple warranty.
However what is the question here about "this problem with Apple"? I find they are usually spot on about repair and time required. It really can upset folk that "need it now" and I can't see a happy resolution to that one.

Hi! My phone has been very slow since the update. I rang Apple care and they told me it could be a system problem and booked me an appointment with the Apple store. I went there and they too said they could repair it as I’m still within my one year warranty. They told me to take off my screen protector and under was a small crack on the very bottom left of my phone to which they told me I’d have to pay £169 before they could repair it. (I know this is their policy) as I wasn’t happy with this I rang a senior team member and they told me to go in and ask for a full diagnostic on the phone to see if the crack of the screen is the problem with the phone. So I did. They told me the screen isn’t the problem and my phone analytics showed I had many ‘panic alerts’ meaning it’s the logic board but still they won’t repair my phone because of the small crack. I rang another senior team member and he said he doesn’t want to guarantee but he would send photos of my phone to engineers and ring me back within 3 working days to see instead of getting my phone repaired to get is replaced instead. But he still hasn’t got back to me and I’m Stick with a dud phone and I desperately need it fixed before I go away for travel work in a few weeks time has anyone had this problem with Apple and resolved their issue!? PLEASE PLEASE HELP
