Apple App store updates page drives me crazy

I am on Yosemite 10.10 (On a MacBook Pro) and have installed all updates on regular basis. The installed updates page drives me mad. Can anyone tell me if they can be cleared, after a few years we will have pages of these records we don't need.
I have updated iTunes to 12.01 (latest) and it still shows it needs updating/ It has updated it 10 times so far and adds to the list page that is getting longer.
Any ideas? I have removed the downloads.plist and no help.
