There were 2 causes I encountered. One was a security suite that was set to maximum shields. The owner could not be helped so we refunded their fee and sent them on their (rather upset) way. The second time it was a PC where they had malware PLUS they took a shotgun to the OS with drivercleaner, registry booster and more. There was no saving that one. We started over.

Every time my app store program automatically checks for updates, it wants me to update to iTunes 11.1.3, even though I already have -- many times (and the App Store shows this, in the "updates run in the past 30 days" window). In fact I am running iTunes 11.1.3 right now. What's the problem?
