Dec 9, 2010 11:57PM PST

Hi all!
I'm using Aperture 3.1 for my photo editing, every time I open Aperture my computer starts to slow and cannot even work with Aperture! updated several times but problem persists. Any comments?

Quit all other programs

Even if you quit all other programs while in Apeture you may still find it too slow to work with. Most photographers that I know of use at least an iMac or a Mac Pro to run Apeture. The graphics card in your macbook pro may not be good enough to achieve the speed you want. The other thing to look into is the amount of RAM you have on your MacBook Pro. If you haven't maxed it out then you will have a slow machine using a high power graphics program.

hardware

I depends on your hardware... An Intel core duo is necessary.
You can go on applications-> utilitary, and there is a tool named activity monitor. You will see if the processor is 100%, if RAM is missing, etc.
