AOL via Mac Mail Limit Problem

Aug 31, 2009 11:49PM PDT

Hi,

I receive my AOL mail via Mac Mail. The problem is it limits me to 1,000 messages which causes me to have to go in every day and find 20-30 messages to delete or else I won't receive any messages over that 1,000 number. Is there any way to increase this limit (or get around it)? I've created Smart Mailboxes and Rules to lessen the email that hits my inbox which helps somewhat but not much. Thanks.

Mike

I didn't know there was a limit to the number of emails

you could receive per day in MAIL.

there is, or was, a 2GB limit per mail box but that depends on what size the emails are.

What on earth do you do that you get over 1000 emails a day from AOL?

Are you sure that the limit is in MAIL and not at AOL?

To clarify

I am not receiving 1,000 emails per day (not sure where it said that) rather once my inbox reaches 1,000 I do not receive any more.

I misunderstood the reference to the 1000 emails,

I have more than that on my machine and, as I mentioned, I do not think this is a number thing but a size thing.
If deleting emails helps then you may have reached the 2GB limit on that box.
Creative folder creating is called for here.
