It depends on the version of AOL that you're using, which you didn't tell us. The "Browser Cache" contains various portions of websites that you have vistited previously so the next time you visit those sites, the page will load quicker. Unfortunately, the "cache" can become bloated and cause problems. It's a good idea to clean it out occasionally. Here are some links that might help:
