aol block?

Hello my sister in law has been with aol
and wants to change to earthlink.she was going to try
people pc,a year or so ago.she had a problem downloading people pc.when she contacted them they told her to stick with aol,because they have some sort of block.is this true?if so how can this be fixed?

Uninstall AOL Before Installing The Other ISP

Sometimes AOL can be a pain to get completely off the machine but it is certainly workable. Obtain a CD or downloaded file for installing the other Internet Provider, then uninstall AOL. After uninstalling AOL, then install the new Earthlink software.
