AOL bars TDS users' e-mail

Feb 20, 2004 12:46PM PST

AOL has slammed its cyberspace door on TDS Telecom.

The giant Internet service provider is refusing to allow e-mail from TDS Telecom Internet customers to get through to AOL subscribers, claiming TDS users are bombarding the system with spam and TDS isn't doing enough to stop them.

TDS says it's doing everything it can and AOL is unfairly singling out the Madison-based company.

TDS Telecom has more than 100,000 customers in 36 states who may be affected by the block, said TDS public relations manager Sarina Gleason in Lansing, Mich.
