Question

AOL 9.7 CNET Update Dwnload

Sep 28, 2013 3:16AM PDT
I have XP Home SP3, Compaq Presario 2001 or 2, and AOL 9.7, which seems to be wearing out. Do I have to uninstall it before downloading from CNET newer version, which they say has a better browser? I've tried it once w/out removing, just closing, present 9.7, and the install seemed to get stuck at the last two letters below word installation or whatever word has ion at the end so I want to start over.

I don't like version 10.1 and need to verify that the CNET free download of 9.7 remains free of charge, or the same price my husband is now paying? And I can keep both versions of 9.7? Thanks in advance.
