Most newer monitors during the boot-up cycle flash, a lost signal but quickly that display goes away as it does find the signal as it advances during the boot-up past that point. If you see this or simply JUST power-ON the monitor, no system for now, does it display some pop-up screen? If it does, its OK. Then that suggests the system is corrupt or at fault. If no display then the monitor is going bad. If after the monitor has cooled and no power to system and then displays that pop-up then again it suggests the monitor is at fault. Of course, the other way of testing is to swap to another system and check results. FYI- AOC, aren't the best out there are considered a low end product, so they do vary in life cycles, IMHO.

if i either restart, or start up a game, my monitor will not turn back on. I have to unplug it from the power for 15 minutes or so, plug it back in, and then will come back up. Its several years old.
SO, is it going bad, or another type of problem?
TIA
