i am looking into doing the same thing you are specifically with the 26" model. although i'd like a first hand account of how well it works the specifications have proven fairly helpful. the sharp uses a native resolution of wxga. so it won't perfectly display 1600x1200 resolution like an expensive dvi lcd monitor. but the image should be acceptable, and having the other inputs is invaluable to save money on a hdtv capture card, which i have yet to discover.
I currently use a Planar 19 inch monitor for my PC Monitor. I use my PC mainly for multimedia--watching and editing video and photos, gaming etc, and am always looking for the bigger better monitor.
I was thinking about buying the Sharp Aquos LC37GD or the LC32GD LCD TV to use as a PC monitor. Anyone use one of these LCD TVs as a PC Monitor? How is the picture quality?
