Question

Anyone using a dot matrix type printer?

Oct 24, 2014 12:58PM PDT

I still have a IBM dot matrix equivalent to an Epson MX-80. A simple yet effective workhorse great for labels and basic printing. Slow yes, but able to get it done after 15yrs. of use if not more.

I just wonder if anyone in a non-business way still uses a dot matrix printer.

thanks -----Willy Happy

Only for business now. Multipart forms for ancient systems that won't die.

There are few users of these nowadays. But, they do well if taken care of and basically the problems could be resolved more easily. Plus, they had metal and build to last for such a lowly printer it still does a decent job w/o glorified text. What else can I do with free ink ribbons and labels, users were tossing out. I guess when that goes, I'll pitch the printer. Sad -----Willy
