It took me a few tries to get Ubuntu working. Once I did, it seemed to recognize everything.on my computer. What exactly is the computer you installed it in? If it is a standard brand computer that is not too old, it should have loaded the proper drivers. One option would be to wipe your hard drive and try again. Then again, some Linux guru, which I am not, might be able to put you onto the correct driver.
Another option would be to wipe your hard drive and try Linspire 5.0. Like Ubuntu, it is a Debian based Distro and if Linspire works, then you know that the correct driver exists within the Debian community
I just loaded Linux Ubuntu on one of my machines. It is very sleek and cool looking. Problem is my ethernet card would not confugure properly on setup. I don't know enough about Linux, let alone this latest Ubuntu incarnation, to configure the ethernet card from within the Linux Ubuntu GUI. Can anyone out there provide some clues?
Thanks for any and all assistance!
