Anyone Own a Maxtor OneTouch II 250 USB/Firewire (E01G250)?

Apr 10, 2007 2:16AM PDT

I have misplaced the power adaptor for my Maxtor OneTouch II 250 external drive. The model number is E01G250. It's the USB/Firewire combo version.

That drive is no longer available, and nor is the adaptor. To get up and running again, I need to order a replacement adaptor from one of the companies specializing in out-of-stock products, but several of them have told me that I need the part number for the adaptor. Just knowing the model number of the drive, they tell me, is insufficient.

No problem, right? Wrong. Unbelievably, the folks at Seagate/Maxtor have informed me that it is impossible to discern the part number for my missing power adaptor by providing them with the model of my drive.

I am hoping that someone reading this thread might happen to own this drive and could provide me with the part number for the power adaptor. I am lost without my external drive.
