Anyone looking for a lap dog................

A Mastiff from England named Zorba was recognized as the heaviest dog in the world, at over 315lb (143 kg). Zorba stood 37 inches (94 cm) at the shoulder and was 8 feet 3 inches (251 cm) from the tip of his nose to the tip of his tail. Zorba set this record in November 1989, when he was 8 years old, and about the size of a large donkey.

Caesar describes them in his account of invading Britain in 55 B.C., when they fought beside their masters against the Roman legions with such courage and power as to make a great impression.

That sure was a big fella! I wonder if his size just happened or if a breeder was trying to produce even bigger mastiffs.
