Anyone like to upgrade hardware on their computer?

Mar 16, 2007 10:06AM PDT

I have Vista business edition. All was fine until I replaced my memory from 1-2GB. Next day I noticed an icon in the task bar, saying I had 2 days left to activate windows. To make a long story short, I contacted Microsoft by phone and learned anytime you change hardware in your computer they have to re-activate windows for you. Guess this is one aspect of the enhanced security in Vista that I was unaware of. I'll be phoning them again tonight as I'm changing my cpu and video card. Good grief!!!
