Anyone know of good podcasts on robotics???...

by shawnlin / October 16, 2007 12:24 PM PDT

I'm just starting to get into hobby robotics, but it'd be nice to have a podcast on the topic to listen, ya know?

Thanks in advance...

No help here, but how are you starting
by topherbone / October 17, 2007 3:21 AM PDT

I don't have any good robo-casts to recommend, but I too am getting interested in robotics as a hobby. How are you starting? Are you using the Lego kit or the IRobot kit or something else?

I got a Parallax sumo bot and someone donated a BasicX stamp and a 12-line LCD busted DVD player is looking good to canabolize too...

But actually, I'm finding it not as approachable as I would enjoy. I'm sure I'll enjoy all sorts of mechatronic/electro-mechanical tinkering soon enough, but I'm looking for a second-hand Robosapien (first or second version) to just play and hack with a little...and I guess I'll build my robo-armada from there Wink

MAKE Magazine: MAKE Podcast

Not specifically related to robotics, but they have had shows in the past about making homemade robots, including a motorized, light-sensitive robot housed in a computer mouse.

Let us know what you find out; I would also be interested in robotics as a hobby.

Talking Robots - The Podcast on Robotics and Artificial Intelligence

I haven't actually listened to this one, so I don't know how good it is, but it at least looks kind of interesting

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
