General discussion

Anyone know of any online storage sites for backing up data?

Jan 26, 2008 2:57AM PST

I want to back-up my computer (132GB of music, photos etc.) onto a website with storage space.

Anyone know of any cheap or free sites where I can easily back up this much data?

Thanks for any info.

Ever heard of a web site closing down?

It happens and guess what happens to your backed up data.

For what you'll pay for on line storage you can buy an external hard drive. 500 Gig drives are dirt cheap. So are DVDs.

I'd never trust my "stuff" to on line storage.

don't go together when it comes to a third party storage of your data.

Better invest in your own backup than depend on someone you don't know who may or may not be in business when you need your data.
