Anyone know how to unlock an 8 gig. iPod touch?

Jun 19, 2010 4:12PM PDT

I've had my iPod for about a year, and no longer have access to the i Tunes account information. I have tried to reset the device manually but it is disabled and I am unable to get beyond the home screen. The thing is so irritating, I've spent over 300 dollars on it, and have no money to fix it. Should I hawk it to some fool on eBay??

You have spent $300 on repairs for this iPod? Somehow I doubt that.
Maybe you have spent $300 on yourself, purchasing tracks from the iTunes store. Is that it?

What does "no longer have access to the iTunes account information" mean?

What do you think that resetting will do for you?

That's what I meant.. sorry my lack of clarification. I've spent money on music and Apps. I don't have the iTunes information anymore, because I registered it on a separate account. I had the information saved into a computer that ended up dying..No joke, I don't even have the machine anymore. Now I am unable to get into the iTunes, it doesn't let me bring up the account at all. I was hoping that re-setting the device would unlock it for me, I could re-install on a separate account and download what I have left of my library.

you next step is to call Apple and explain that you have lost your iTunes information. They will ask for a bunch of details and then give you the required information.

Problem should then be solved
