Anyone know how to turn upscaling off on a CRT HDTV?

Trying to get DIRECTV SD to display on CRT HDTV as good of quality as on CRT SDTV

There's no standard for how a TV works. So it's dependent on make and model. So it's in the user manual. Since you didn't link to that, nobody can guess.

Oh, sorry, it's a Sony Wega Trinitron KV-30HS420. I know there's no way to do it in the manual like in the T.V.'s normal menu, as far as I can see. Wondering if there's a way to do it in the service menu? Or maybe there's something I'm missing... Thanks

No one I know dares share service menu settings here.

Too many have bricked their TVs. However upscaling is to fill the tv screen. I didn't find the user manual so I can't look at the menus on zoom or fill.
