At one time, I had Xoftspy and didn't like it.
I read that it is known to produce false
positives, and only the scan is free (not the removal)
I would recommend pest patrol or spysweeper (both free and they have not caused any prob.s for me.
The CWS entries (Cool Web Search should be deleted along with Winpup. These are in the adware/hijacker/trojan families.) Here is an article with more info. on Xoftspy. And, I'm sure someone else
can give you a better recommendation on removing the
pests on your system. CWS is sometimes some of the most difficult to remove.

I am running windows xp prof.IE 6.0 sp1. I have 4.50GB used with 3.30GB free. Not sure what else you might need. Anyway my computer is hanging up or sometimes it just locks up.It does not matter if I am just opening a program installed on here or opening a web page. I have ad-aware 6.0 and cwshredder and spybot-search&destroy along with stinger. And defender pro 5-in-1 but I only have the anti virus downloaded. I have ran all these and nothing comes up. A friend told me to try this xoftspy so I ran it and it found 11. I am afraid to delete them. Can anyone tell me if it is safe to delete. Here is a list of what was found Winpup32--2020search, CWS.Oslogo--Unknown2--UnknownBHO--CWS.mrhop--SaveNow--all but the last one is in my registry file. The last one is file C:\windows\system32. Thanks for any help you can give me.
