I own the DVP-NS70H and all I can say is it is a good dvd player. It is an upconverting player which is best appreciated with a digital monitor such as yours. Don't be too caught up in the other stuff you mentioned in the ns-90v, after all, dvd is still 480p I believe. Save your cash for the next evolution of dvd. Make sure you connect with HDMI and set the resolution in the dvd player to auto.
I am looking for DVD player with HDMI out and can play JPG images in data CD or data DVD on my Sony 50" LCD projection HDTV, which has HDMI in. The difference between DVP-NS70H and DVP-NS90V is 90V can adjust the picture quality by "BNR" (Block Noice Reduction)and "MNR" (Mosquito Noise Reduction). 90V can also play Supper Audio CD but I am not interested in that. My main concern are "BNR" and "MNR" are necessary? If they are. Are the function effective? If you have DVP-NS70H, what is the jpg image quality on HDTV? Many thanks for your reply.
