Anyone else having problems with Grif's "Tips" thread?

Nov 14, 2006 1:27AM PST

For three days now I have been unable to access Grif's Tips for Newbies thread, receiving the Cnet 404 every time. However, the post count has increased twice so someone is posting to it. Is anyone else having this problem?

John

I only tried the tips thread earlier, and it worked. Just now tried all the threads that Grif linked, and now I get the error on all four links. Both FF2 and IE7.

All failed

I got CNet 404's from that link plus the 4 others that Grif listed in the bug thread.

Only tested in FF2.

Retried Opera: 7 failed. 5 worked.

Retried each of the 4 links in sequence. Repeated test 3 times.

Easy to tell when it was going to fail. Opera stays in blank page / 0B status until it times out with Cnet 404.

PS: Linux test was from a clean install.

i.e. No extensions beyond those included in the base install for the OS.

The Firefox 2 test had several extensions + C1ay's stylesheet.

In "Threaded View", and "Flat View" I have no problems.

I can see all posts in Grif's Tips and Tricks thread in those views.

But if I change to "Tree View" within the thread I get the 404 pages.

Using Firefox 2.0
