the pages take so long to load and slow moving between messages that I fell asleep twice now. Awful. Its not my browser or the computer either. I have the computer running about as good as it will ever run until I get on Cnet. Not just SE either. Its All Forums.

No problems with Netscape 7. Hangs at times with Netscape 4.8

Since they've enabled the color difference for posts already viewed in their style sheets, I've switched over to Netscape 7 for this site, works better.

Where are you at? It could be a network problem with your route to CNet. Visit the Internet Traffic Report to see current bottlenecks that could be between you and Cnet.

Hi Clay:

I'm from Massachusetts and from the chart, its seems Ok. Few spikes but I do not know whats good or bad.

I'm on Dial-up. Noticed this AM and recently a lot of Telephone trucks around down town. I'm going to go talk with one of the repair men and see whats going on when I go to lunch. SE works OK now. I'm still going to try another browser. Avant was recomended.

What I do not understand, Is why its only when on Cnet.

Thanks
George

CNet's out west. You could be routed to them thru a path that is having latency problems and it would not affect sites in other areas. You might try microsoft.com next time you are having problems with CNet to identify this kind of problem since both should be on the same route for you.
