Anynet+ Issues I'm trying to resolve..

Jan 24, 2009 3:00AM PST

Hi there.

I have a Samsung PN42A450 plasma tv paired with Samsung's HT-TZ512 home theatre system.

I have my connections set up as follows:

Cable box --> component cables to --> TV
Cable box --> optical cable to --> Receiver
Receiver --> HDMI cable to --> TV

When I turn my tv off, the receiver turns off with it as it should, however it never turns on when I turn the tv on. Also, if I turn the tv on and immediately turn the receiver on, the receiver only stays on for a second and then disconnects and turns off. I have to wait about 30 seconds after the TV is on to power on the receiver so that it will not turn itself off..

Anyone have any ideas? I have not called Samsung yet because I'm totally dreading it and hoping I can find a solution on here instead...

Any help would be really appreciated!

not sure if that helped much...

Thanks, but this didn;t seem to help much. I followed the steps in the book by connecting the receiver to HDMI1 on the TV (even though my cable box runs through component). Then I went into the tools menu (which is different on my TV than how they describe it in the manual). I found the setting to turn the receiver on, and when I change it to ON, the receiver turns on. Then I turned the TV off and the receiver went off as it should, but when I turn the TV back on again, the receiver stays off and the tools menu shows the receiver in OFF mode again. Seems like nothing sticks... ??

I followed the instructions, too, but to no avail. Does anybody else have any suggestions? This is very annoying.
