There are so many junky apps and then you have the carriers. It's pretty well discussed but here where I use the thing as a phone and know that it's no substitute for a good GPS or weather radio because the carrier's coverage is never a sure thing, I'm doing fine.
I think my friend said it so well.
"Android is the new Windows."

Anybody else totally disgusted with Android (or maybe it's my Samsung Strosphere) (or maybe it's my Verizon 4G service)? After several months (6 or so!) trying to use my Samsung Stratosphere, I finally threw the d*mned thing agains a wall...went and bought my wife an Apple 4S and took her Samsung Convoy for my new phone. Apps on the Stratosphere were iffy (if at all)...lousy on marine weather apps and marine navigation (Navionics), and if I ever got anything, it was nothing like in a timely manner. Road navigation after searches for restaurants or shopping died usually and could seldom be resucitated. This phone, or the service, or Android is certainly not ready for prime time. If I go back to a smart phone, it'll have to be a better experience than this last one. (And my wife can keep the Apple, I'll be d@*ned if I ever use an Apple product.
