the tablet yet. We just got it last week, but we want to put some mp3 files on there (audio books, etc.) and then transfer them to our mp3 players so we can go outside and walk and listen to them. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Since you have to transfer it to the tablet you would also at the same time transfer it to the mystery players. I may upset you but this is like asking what fuel to put in a car today. Many choices and some don't take liquid fuel. Details matter.
Since you are buying these, DEMAND the sellers show you how or return the product.

you mentioned mystery players. What do you mean by that? I have a Creative Lab mp3 player that I like to listen to while walking. I also have a Nexus 10 tablet which we just purchased. So...can I go online and get an audio book in mp3 format and save it to my Nexus tablet? Then can I transfer that file to my mp3 player?
I did all of this before using a pc and my mp3 player and it was very easy. So, can I still achive the same thing using my Nexus 10 tablet?
Thank you.
But there are scores of Creative Lab mp3 players and checking above I didn't even have this much to work with.
Remember that while I do have a Nexus 7 to work with (thanks work!) it is not a PC so you don't plug in MP3 players to load up like a PC.
The question is -> "I did all of this before using a pc and my mp3 player and it was very easy. So, can I still achive the same thing using my Nexus 10 tablet?"
No.

PS. I don't mind looking into this further but with the details so far I have to repeat that a Nexus Android tablet is not a PC. Folk are falling for this all the time.
and I thank you! It is just as I feared as I could not find the way to do it anywhere in all my searching. I know you are an expert in all this techy stuff and would know if anyone would, so I tried here.
I thought maybe there was as special cable that would go from the tablet (mini) to my mp3 player (macro),
but I looked online and in stores and couldn't find such a creature. We still have a pc so I will simply stick with my old way of doing it.
I did figure out how to download something on the tablet and then be able to listen to it offline which is nice. I used the ES File Explorer app and that helped me do that.
While there are file explorers for the Android tablets, without the exact model I can't see if anyone has found a way to move files to that device by any means.

One is Creative Zen Style 300 and the other is Zen Mozaic EZ 300. Does that help?
The documentation was unreadable on the second unit. I had hope to see if it had the MSC (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USB_mass_storage_device_class ) mode but the documentation seems to never mention it.
Have you seen that ASUS T100?
Bob
but I didn't get it. Instead thought the Nexus 10 would work good for me. In hindsight, I think I should have gone for that one, as it is Windows and I think it also had a regular USB port. My husband is having trouble getting used to the Nexus because he was used to windows. He is in his eighties and not in great health.
My dad always said, "too late smart and too soon old." Oh well. Just carry on.
