Question

Any way to "Roll back" an iPod to before changes were made?

May 10, 2015 3:54AM PDT

Hey,

I just tried to put some music on my girlfriend's iTouch 4th Generation. All the music that I transferred plays successfully, but most, if not all of the music that was on the device previously is grayed out and unplayable. So my question is this: Is there any way to either roll-back the device's download/iTunes-transfer history before the changes were made (other than by using iCloud, which I forgot to use to back the iTouch up beforehand), or is there a way to get the music back on the device? So far, the only way seems to be by repurchasing it all, and there was quite a few songs. Thank you for your help.

iPod touch, iOS 6.1.6

And yes, the sync overwrites what was there before. No big deal. Sync again with your choice of music.

just log into the girlfriends iTunes Music Store account and re-download them.

Look under the Purchases tab

She said that all of the music was from different locations. Also, she already attempted to log in, and it did not work.

Wrong password perhaps?

Perhaps she could use her backup, not the iCloud one, to recover the music
