Any way to connect computer monitor to chromecast/roku?

by lb4uc / April 8, 2014 11:15 AM PDT

I have a Dell HD computer monitor (23") that has two usb ports, a VGA port, and DVI-I port. I would like to use the monitor as a television as well as using it to get streaming data from chromecast or roku (like the roku stick). I know I need an external TV tuner, but is there a tuner out there that would allow me to stream video via chromecast or another streaming tv device? Or should I just get a cheap TV and save myself the hassle? Thanks!

Sorry, I'm new to this forum. It is a Dell P2314Ht. I don't know if it has HDCP. How do I check?

And head to your monitor's home/support page. I'm in a rush this AM so I'll let you do the work.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
