Run all your vidio direct to t.v. using h.d.m.i. cables and audio straight to amp using optical audio cables as far as comcast goes check out dish network first cheaper more hi-def channels, and very flexable You can get your networks via the dish or hook up an outside antenna like I did do a digiral scan and all your local stations will go into the main menu I receive 18 local digital channels 9 are in hi-def also you can get the hi-def package a must and VOOM for only $15.00 extra per mont comcast sucks I know I checked them out and tried there hi-def service for 3 days and talk about a crappy hi-def picture good luck and post back to us steweeee
