Any thoughts on B-Stock or open box plasmas

by jamesraymond / October 24, 2005 6:30 AM PDT

I noticed many online stores carry open box or b-stock plasmas at a very reduced price with same warranty as a new plasma. Good idea or bad?

warrenty cards
by masterying01 / October 26, 2005 8:03 AM PDT

many consumer electronics require product registration with a warrenty card. without that card, depending on what brand it is, you might or might not be able to get any manufactorer warrenty on it. if the tv is tv only and doesnt come with a manual, most likely it will not have a warrenty card which means you probably would not get a manufactorer's warrenty on it. be careful.
