Any Suggestions?

by jondoefish / February 8, 2006 3:54 AM PST

I am planning on purchasing a digital camera for my wife. She wants one with 8-10x optical zoom and 5+ mp's. I have been looking at the FujiFilm s5200, Olympus sp-500UZ and also the Nikon D50 (a bit out of my price range but it looks great!!).
My wife is somewhat partial to Olympus brand (she as an old--10 years Olympus that has been great). However, she wants the best camera and brand really doesn't matter. She would like to be able to zoom far without sacrificing image quality and will mainly print 5 x 7 's but doesn't want to be limited to them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

These cameras are aimed at the same customer with very similar prices.

Here is a link that show the specifications of the two cameras:

There have been no reviews of the Fujifilm S5200 yet.
But the feedback from owners of the camera has been very positive.

Right under the photo of the Olympus SP500 there is a green link to a review.

Also, under the red stars in each column, there is a link to ''owner's opinions''. Click on those links to find out what owners think of their cameras.

.................

The Fujifilm S5200 uses their new 5th generation low noise sensor. It allows a camera setting of ISO 1600, which gives the camera an advantage under low lighting situations.

Is great. It has the widest flexability of all those cameras.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
