Answer
I'm thinking about the forensic tools.

https://www.elcomsoft.com/eift.html for example lets you get inside the iphone NSA style. There are many forensic tools today so maybe that's the alternative.

I can't say why I'd use other than iTunes.

""Installed malware"

Pros

Perhaps a good program but installed a bunch of other software without my permission. It was packaged into the itools. Very misleading. Nothing good about this software."

Maybe that was just the CNET installer?

But it's a pity the site of the maker is in Chinese only.

Reviews for this were sadly typical of what was copied.

There are some that are not happy at all with iTunes or Apple anything. Makes you wonder why they went with the iPhone in the first place. But this app when googled didn't seem to fare well. Since the download site is a CNET property I copied the first review there.

ORLY?

So all the phones on the market all have some parts that I dislike, I should just go back to using sending flat-rate letters and never come back? Do practice what you preach, I seriously hope!

And BTW, I asked this because my iCloud is full and iTunes is not working for some reason!!

It's not difficult

Simply purchase more iCloud space. Apple actually just lowered the price, believe it or not. It's not horribly priced anymore per se.

iTunes has long been rife w/ issues, so we won't likely re-hash that discussion.
