Creates jobs

When there's no useful work available, we create jobs that monkeys could do and give them to people, don't we? If this was in the US, it could create spin off jobs as well. A whole raft of inspectors would be needed to make sure that the bananas were being properly handled, peeled in a way to avoid contamination, weights were accurate, etc. Another advantage is that bakers would know on sight when they were just right for making banana bread.
