any M.A.S.H fans?

by jonah jones / July 29, 2006 4:30 AM PDT

my son threw me a couple of MASH trivia questions...

was the song "suicide is painless" the theme song for the movie or the TV series?
and if "yes" what was the theme music/song for the other?

thanks
jonah

I believe it was played during a scene with nurse "Dish" who was gratiously aiding a male comrade to cure his pre Viagra issue. What a thoughtful person. Happy

Used twice...
by J. Vega / July 29, 2006 5:21 AM PDT

In the movie, the song with lyrics was used twice, during the title credits and later in the "Last Supper" scene.
Trivia: The lyrics were written by the director's son, who was 14 at the time. Even though the lyrics were cut in the TV series and only the melody used (PC situation), the son got residuals for both the movie and TV series. As time rolled on, eventually the son made more for his work with the song than the father made for his direction of the movie.

Who was the only regular cast member to play the same role in both the movie and the TV series?

just tell him this

The lyrics were never heard on the TV show as opposed to the movie... plus the production values and instruments (violins, horns, triangle) used in the TV show make the song sound different from the music used in the movie.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
