Any headphone suggestions

Sep 28, 2008 5:39PM PDT

I was wondering if anyone has any headphone suggestions. I was looking for a nice pair of bass heavy around the ear headphones. Ones i liked into where the monster beast dr. dre headphones but their a bit expensive, i also liked the sound quietconfort 3 headphones but not so hot about the on ear feel, and also the triports but i surely hate the cord on both of the ear cups.

It i guess what im looking for is a pair of nice sounding headpones for around $200, one sided cord and around the ear fit. Im most going to use these for trance and drum and bass music, and things such as noise canceling dont really matter but not opposed to it. Happy thanks for the help!

They've been around for a while, but they're very good and since you don't mind spending a little, the price, about $100, shouldn't be a problem. I love mine. The music is very clear and detailed, bass seems pretty good (don't pay that much attention to that, though), they have a ear-cup design, and a single-sided, telephone-style cord.

the sennheiser's are top notch. Bose also makes a nice pair of noise-cancelers, but those are a bit pricier. Ditto Shure's "sound isolating" technology, although even their models that are cheaper are pretty good. Shame there aren't any "headphone testing" booths at tech stores...
