Any great Linux books?

Jul 10, 2005 12:13PM PDT

I am new to Linux. I've played around with Knoppix and even installed Linux on my hard drive, but I'm not that knowledgeable about it. I was wondering if anyone knew of any good book (or books) that would take me from Linux newbie to power user.

Thanks in advance.

I went to my local libary and got Red Hat Linux 8 Bible with the Red Hat discs. The book seemed good to me, but I haven't read all of it yet.

I don't mean to be offensive in any way but these books helped me out a lot when I was a newbie...

Linux for Dummies
The Complete idiots Guide to Linux
The Complete idiots Guide to UNIX

Also if you can get your hands on any issues of Maximum Linux, that was my favorite Linux Mag when it was being published...
I found it to be the ONLY Linux mag that wasn't a dry read...
