Any extended warranty option for refurbished?

by Cjeangen / February 16, 2011 6:35 AM PST

I am thinking of buying a refurbished Asus through Best Buy. The warranty is only 90 days though, and Best Buy doesn't offer an extended warranty on refurbished computers. I talked to Asus directly, but the only offer an extended warranty through the third party store. Is there another place where I could purchase an extended warranty for refurbished computers?

Unlikely.

Just in case it's not clear the reason is simple. It's not unlike you buying an used car from somewhere and then asking a third party to warranty it without inspection.

Let's just say it is unlikely to happen. In fact such a warranty should push the price back to a new laptop with the factory warranty!

newegg sells extended warranties with their refurb laptops, and it doe NOT bring the price up to the NEW level, not even close.

i have purchased them many times for many different people, and any warranty service needed went perfect

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
