was to remove the heat sink from the CPU, along with the fan, then that would be the problem. If the heat sink is not making proper and firm contact with the CPU, the heat will not be conducted away and the CPU will overheat. That will cause the computer to shut off and will eventually damage the CPU, if it has not already happened.
my friend and i opened his computer to check something. he was curious about the cpu fan and accidentally broke its locks while removing it. it still got 1 remaining lock so it does not fall. and its still working.
just like in the other thread his pc starts and shutdowns after a few seconds.
my question is... does the problem have a connection with the cpu fan being loose?
thanks in advance.
