Any boomboxes with Aux input for my MP3 player?

by seichman / August 3, 2004 4:30 AM PDT

Okay - I finally got a Zen XTRA and am merrily loading my CDs into it. One of my intended uses is to bring my CD library with me when I do my runs in Baja, Mexico.

It didn't dawn on me until just now that my Boombox doesn't have an aux-in for me to plug the MP3 player into.

Does anybody know of a battery powered boombox with aux in?

Get a FM transmitter. Pretty much any will work with your player.

The JVC PC-X290 has AUX input. Boomboxes with AUX inputs are hard to find because they don't typically advertise the feature I've found.

An FM transmitter is an inferior to a direct connection IMHO, and a 1/8" stereo to RCA is cheaper than an FM transmitter.
