Since many smart phones can share their WiFi why is an app needed?

But and this is very important, I only know of a few free internet data plans, which are really not free at all or limited.

So no, there are no such apps that provide "Free WiFi." Best bet? Go to places that have this. Libraries are getting up to speed on this.

Yes, exactly, data plans are quite expensive and almost all wifi needs password to be connected Sad
I am just curious if any app is able to get me connected to those wifi without entering any password.
Maybe I should do some research on that...

I found this to be untrue.

In reply to: hmmmmmmm.....

I use free WiFi at libraries, Panera, McD's, Taco Bell and other places without a password so I have to write that's untrue.

To connect on my phone does not require any additional app.

Do you mean wifi password hacker apps? I heard some apps can hack public wifi passwords, thus getting your device connected with wifi for free. But I never tried.

Got one

Thanks guys. I finally found one. My friend told me an app which is quite popular in Latin American and Asia.
She said it is not a hacking app. Cool Pp. could just share their wifi if they want and we could get connected through those shared wifi.

Sounds cool?

Not really.

You need to treat it as suspect since the phones here already have the app to turn it into a hotspot. And if this is to share a WiFi connection, then it's still not needed as you can connect to that yourself.

With these apps some are trojans and you must not fall for installing something that you don't need in the first place.

That is, I saw that before. And here we are again.
