If you look at different independent and reliable review sites, you'll find different opinions. For example, have a look at:
https://www.tomsguide.com/us/best-antivirus,review-2588.html
https://www.av-test.org/en/antivirus/home-windows/
https://www.av-comparatives.org/

And please note that a full security package offers more than antivirus. Even free Avast comes with modules that check if you have the latest versions of other programs, clean the registry, optimize the performance, delete unnecessary files and its own "safe" browser. Some have their own firewall or parental control software.
If that are functions you need in your antivirus the list may be different than if you only want antivirus.

I wonder why you added a link to your site in your post. You don't use Windows 10 as the server for running the site, do you? Anyway, I had to delete it according to the forum rules.

That's been kicked around for years.

There are a few camps of thought here.

1. What Windows 10 comes with is not sufficient.
2. What Windows 10 comes with is sufficient.
3. Harry's (or such name) is the best.
4. No, no, John's AV360 is the best.

Yes, it can be confusing as titles swap in what's #1 in the test results monthly and one will win some test suite #1 position yet another wins in another site.

-> Remember that what I run into, the user installed the trojan or worse. Most disabled the antivirus to install the software so no antivirus known could have stopped the infection.
