Resolved Question

Antivirus on Ubuntu.

Aug 27, 2011 7:02AM PDT

Hi Guys,
O.K. Long storey cut short. Restored it to factorey conditions a fortnight ago, came back with problems could'nt boot into anything, and no backup media. Sorry, it's a HP mini Windows 7 starter. So I went down the Ubuntu route (well impressed) the problem I have is installing any sort of antivirus on it. The reason I want antivirus is because I have a Windows 7 machine.

I have tried every method on the web to install an antivirus but the code doesn't work. Any suggestions.
All help greatly appreciated. Dafydd.

Then we can create the antivirus. What virus is there for this version of Linux?

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Antivirus covers it well enough. While it is theoretically possible we really need this to advance past theory for the antivirus app for Linux to be needed.

I think this link covers it well enough.
