Anti-Virus Update

by johnlo / January 22, 2005 7:31 AM PST

I'm scheduled to udate/renew my NAV subscription in a couple weeks but am considering dropping Norton and going to Trend Micro PC-cillin.

Any comments/suggestions?

AVG for sure is the best way.It has done a good job for me for some years now and it is free to use. Uninstalling from nav can be a troublesome thing to do is what I have heard.

I got notification from AVG that my ME OS is no longer suported. It will not update the virus database anymore and it will not download the later versions of AVG.

Avoid posting to such old discussions.

You'll have to go with an antivirus that supports this OS.

I want to add that AVG worked very well for many years with ME, but has been canceled, as far as I can tell.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
