Anti-virus and hacker-prevention spending tops security priorities for 2004

Fears of hacker attacks and viruses will drive information-security spending in 2004, according to a report by the Yankee Group.

The survey found that over half of the companies questioned intend to increase their security budgets over the next three years, with 40 per cent expecting their spending to remain roughly the same.
