And I'm certainly not speaking from experience should that occur to anyone. I just happen to know an awful lot of male friends who have been sexually molested including 2 of my wife's brothers, the most tragic of whom (not a friend but the friend of friends) was the son of a major Conservative politician who was repeatedly molested by a teacher at his private school. His parents didn't listen, the school didn't listen, and ultimately he committed suicide. Eventually the school was sued by a number of others this guy had interfered with, and despite the best defense that money could buy the school was found liable, so out went a begging letter to the alumni who ponied up the cash very quickly.

A friend who wrote a book about the school (sort of Canada's equivalent of Andover) and is considered an expert, at least by the media, says that what is known is the tip of a large iceberg, and that the transfer of teachers caught but not charged is called "Passing the Trash". They make their rounds through the Private Schools in Canada.

The worst of them, mentioned above, caught, charged, and convicted on multiple counts had his record expunged and was granted a pardon in less than 3 years. He currently lives directly opposite a Private School two lanes from the grounds.
