Antenna in attic not working well

Sep 26, 2008 2:40AM PDT

I put my outdoor antenna in the attic, and it was working pretty well, though some stations had shadows etc. Well, I wanted to tweak it a bit as originally because of close spaced rafters I hadn't extended the arms of the antenna out until they clipped into their proper positions. So I went up there and loosened everything, painstakingly threaded all the elements in such a way as I could fully extend them, and screwed it back into position. Now however, the shadows are even worse. I have no idea how to get it back to it's original haphazard position as some of the elements had been clipped in place and some hadn't and I don't remember which ones. Any help here would be much appreciated.

That's really a good idea. I actually took it out of the attic and put it on the roof. It's quite a bit better, but still not what I'd like. I may try to build my own and see what happens.

Thanks for the suggestion. As you can see from my other post, I put it outside, and it's working quite a bit better.
