I meant to say this is "Windows Vista Home Premium".
Bought a new Fujitsu A6020-022 - Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB, etc. - with Vista installed. Right from the start, I encountered a situation where the computer would freeze "at random." So far, it does NOT seem to have done this when the machine was idle (no applications running). It seems to happen when I am running the browser, either IE or Opera 9-something. At least one window, and usually all of them, will become unresponsive, including the minimize/resize/close controls, and they cannot be commanded from the task bar icon. Note that control of the cursor is retained.
Now the WIERD part - I only have to open Task Manager and everything seems to be recovered! Windows behave normally, task bar - the whole bit!
I only have the software that came with the computer installed, and Opera (but I had the problem before I installed that).
I am thinking it may be the unit that I bought - any ideas?
