another p4 vs centrino question but urgent help needed

i finally bought a laptop but im not sure bout it. i had to decide between

Toshiba M3OX - 11 Intel pentium M centrino, 1.6 Ghz, 400 MHz FSB 2MB cache, 256 MB RAM, 40 GB hard drive, DVD RW, 15. 4 " screen

and a
Toshiba A60- 173 Intel 532 P4, 3.06 Ghz, 533 MHZ, 1mb Cache, dvd rw, 512 RAM, 15 " screen, 40 GB hard drive

the Pentium M was more expesive by

You can add more RAM yourself for less $ later anyway

You can add 512mb PC 2700 RAM yourself (to go from 256mb to 768mb) later yourself easily at retail (200 pin notebook RAM) for under $100 on sale -- or a 2nd 256mb RAM module would be about half that if on sale.

Keep the Pentium M notebook if you already have that-- the 15.4" widescreen is nice for DVD's and spreadsheets (see more columns to right and left) versus the 15" square LCD on the Pentium 4.

I would have gotten the Toshiba with the yukky blue color-you can always change the color of the outside, but a faster processor of 533mhz will certainly make your life easier-the heaviness of the home computer wouldn't be such a big deal-the P4 has a (usually) brighter display and faster computing abilities, with a better graphics card, you'll always be 2nd guessing yourself about your computer choice-the centrino seems to be better for it's wireless capabilites-
